In the year 2021, God came to our leader/founder in the person of Pastor Joshua Ikechi, through a series of clear and unsettling revelations. The message was simple but heavy: raise men for me - start up a discipleship class What followed was not haste, but holy caution. The burden was delayed not in disobedience, but in reverence. It was tested through intense prayer, prolonged meditation, and careful discernment through the lens of the Holy Spirit. The vision was examined, not resisted. It was carried in the womb of prayer, waiting for God’s timing. By January 2024, the pressure of heaven became undeniable. The cry of God grew so intense it could no longer be postponed. In that season, the Spirit brought a scripture that became a mirror to the state of the modern Church: > “Ephraim, he hath mixed himself among the people; Ephraim is a cake not turned… Ephraim also is like a silly dove without heart.” — Hosea 7:8,11 (KJV) It was a diagnosis. Believers half-baked. Fire on one side, raw on the other. Zeal without depth. Movement without direction. Noise without root. God was not asking for another activity. He was demanding a forge. By July 2024, God gathered men who were dying of hunger to know Him. Not curiosity. Not excitement. Hunger. And by mercy, the vision began to move. The first steps were not easy. Structure had to be built. Hearts had to be aligned. Sacrifice became normal. But in every weakness, God proved faithful and carried us through. In November of that same year, the Lord redefined the work and gave it a name: DISCIPLESHIP WORKSHOP CLASS (DWC) He declared that this would be a place of forming, not entertaining. A workshop, not a lecture hall. He brought us to Jeremiah 18:2–6, revealing His intent to work on men as a potter works clay, reshaping, breaking, rebuilding. DWC became a furnace. Training grew strict. Discipline became culture. Teaching went deep. The Word was not skimmed; it was excavated. Character was confronted. Flesh was challenged. Calling was refined. From 2024 through 2026, God expanded our tent. Youths, adults, elders, and even clergy were drawn in. Men and women craving a serious walk with God. Not comfort. Not applause. Transformation. Today, DWC stands as a place of SPIRITUAL REFINEMENT, MINISTERIAL DEALINGS, DISCIPLINE & INTENSE TRAINING. It exists because much of the modern Church has lost these pillars. Indiscipline has eaten deep. Power has been replaced with performance. Calling has been confused with visibility. But God raised a class. A place where He is forging warriors. Raising mighty men of valor. Restoring the old paths of righteousness, discipline, and power. Men who will burn with the burnings of their fathers. Men who will not be half-baked. Men who will carry weight in the spirit. DWC was not born from convenience. It was birthed from burden.
